David L. Peterson

   Graveside services for David L. Peterson, 79, of Fairmont, MN, formerly of Welcome, MN, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Welcome City Cemetery in Welcome, MN.  Full military honors will be provided by the Welcome American Legion Post #553 of Welcome.  David passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin, MN.  The Kramer Family Funeral Home of Trimont, Sherburn, and Welcome, MN, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
    David Lynn Peterson was born July 23, 1947, in Fairmont, MN, the son of Sylvester and Opal (Elfert) Peterson.  The family later moved to Austin, MN, where David graduated from high school with the class of 1965. Following his graduation, Davide made the move to Belvidere, IL, where he worked at Chrysler for 38 years.  David later returned to Minnesota to be near family, making his home in Welcome, MN and later Fairmont.
Left to cherish his memory is a host of friends who cared deeply for him.  David was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Opal Peterson; brother, James Peterson; and a sister, Barbara Peterson.
