Michael Updike, 67

     SHERBURN:   Michael Tony Updike, 67, of rural Sherburn, Minnesota, passed away at his home in rural Sherburn, Minnesota on Thursday morning, December 18, 2025.
    Visitation with the family will be from 10:00-12:00 noon, Saturday, January 3, 2025 at the Kramer Funeral Home, (107 North Osborne St.) Sherburn, Minnesota.
  The Kramer Funeral Home of Sherburn, Trimont and Welcome, Minnesota is in charge of Michael’s arrangements.

     Michael Tony Updike was born on October 10, 1958, to Martin and Maria (Persing) Updike in Triumph MN. He received his education in the Sherburn-Dunnell Schools later graduating with the class of 1977. On August 2, 1980 he was united in marriage to Stephanie Nawrocki in Fairmont, MN. They lived in the Jackson area where Mike was employed at Agchem until moving to their present home in rural Sherburn. He, along with Stephanie, operated the Sherburn Theatre from 1996-2006. After working over 40 years at Agco/Agchem he retired in 2023 due to illness. Mike enjoyed planting a garden every spring, riding his Harley, going to auctions, and taking his classic car to auto shows. 
    He leaves behind his wife Stephanie; daughter, Amber Updike (Michael Wisneski) of Mpls, MN; son, Spencer (Lisa) Updike of Syracuse, NY; granddaughter, Amelia Updike; sisters, Candy Ann (Terry) Runyon of Allegan, MI; Pauline (Jerry) Gibson of Fairmont, MN; Angela (Gary) Whisney of Jackson, MN; brother, David (Dawn) Updike of Bridgewater, IA; sister-in-law, Cindy Updike of Gettysburg, PA; father and mother-in-law, Urban & Nina Nawrocki of Sherburn; sister-in-law, Athena (Lon) Miles of East Bethel, MN; brother-in-law, Greg Nawrocki of rural Trimont, MN; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
     Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother; Robert Updike and other relatives.
