TRIMONT: A Funeral Service for Marlene M. Anderson, 88, of rural Trimont, Minnesota will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Evangelical Covenant Church (61 East Main Street) in Trimont, Minnesota with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in rural Trimont, Minnesota.
     Marlene was called to her eternal rest on Saturday morning, October 18, 2025 at Season’s Healthcare Center in Trimont, Minnesota.  Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m until the time of the funeral service Thursday at the Church.     
      The Kramer Family Funeral Home of Sherburn, Trimont and Welcome, Minnesota is in charge of Marlene’s arrangements. Messages of Sympathy may be sent to the family at www.kramerfuneralhome.com.
     Marlene Mavis (Ziebarth) Anderson was born on June 2, 1937 to Virgil and Lillie (Lucht) Ziebarth in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Her family moved to St. James, Minnesota where she graduated from high school.  After receiving her teaching degree from Southern Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma, she taught history and home economics until her marriage.  
     On May 31, 1964 Marlene was united in marriage to Robert R. “Bob” Anderson at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Trimont, Minnesota.  They lived and farmed near St. James until 1973 when they moved to Cedar Township in rural Trimont.  They continued to farm in the St. James and Trimont areas until Bob’s death in 2017.  Marlene was a member of Trimont Evangelical Covenant Church where she played the organ for many years.
     She is survived by her daughter, Julee (Jonathan) Scarfpin; two grandchildren, Seth (Olivia) Scarfpin and Ava Scarfpin; one great grandchild, Colter; sister-in-law, Elaine Anderson; brother-in-law Lowell Anderson and sister-in-law LaVerne Anderson; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
     Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Lillie Ziebarth; husband, Robert “Bob” Anderson; daughter, Michelle Duncan; brother Ellis Ziebarth; sister-in-law Bonnie Ziebarth; sister-in-law Eunice Erickson;  brother-in-law Richard Erickson, and other relatives.
